Aims:

To learn about the importance of play for children.

Target Audience:

This course will greatly aid anyone who may have to deal with, or support children. It provides basic information on therapeutic play, and explores a range of techniques that can be used with children.

Commentary:

The course examines therapeutic play, and enables participants to understand the concept of therapeutic play. It also explores the concept of the unconscious mind, and how this can be accessed through play techniques. Participants will practice a range of therapeutic techniques, and have the opportunity to evaluate their effectiveness. The use of case studies enables participants to discuss issues that are relevant to their background and vocational experience.
