CTLLS
Aims:
To achieve the national standard for the CTLLS.
Objectives:
- Be able to plan learning
- Ensure inclusivity in teaching
- Complete 30 hrs teaching practise
- Reflect on own practice
Target Audience:
This is the progression course for any students who have achieved the ptlls- preparing to teach in the Life Long sector course. The course runs of two 5 day blocks, with a requirements for the student to complete 30 hrs teaching practice and be assessed for 3 hours.
Course Content:
- Plan for inclusive learning
- how to use teaching and learning strategies and resources inclusively to meet curriculum requirements
- Key concepts and principles of assessment
- Role of feedback and questioning in the assessment of learning
- Strengths and limitations of a range of assessment methods, including, as appropriate, those which exploit new and emerging technologies
- Monitor, assess, record and report learner progress and achievement to meet the requirements of the learning programme and the organisation evaluate the effectiveness of own practice
- How to evaluate the effectiveness of own practice
Commentary:
The Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector has a 30 hour teaching practice requirement through which you will create a personal and professional portfolio, all candidates must complete the 30 hour teaching practice requirement, this can be in a paid or voluntary role.
