Individual Budget (IB) Training for Social Care Staff
Aims:
To train staff on the individual budget assessment process.
Objectives:
- Be able to complete and assessment questionnaire
- Examine principles of person centred assessment
- Complete a support plan
- Reflect on the IB process
Target Audience:
This is for staff who are required to assess individual budgets and formulate support plans, or for those staff who may support individual budget holders.
Course Content:
- Personalisation agenda
- 4 domains of social care
- National picture for IB’s
- Principles of assessment – person centred way
- Completed an assessment questionnaire (AQ)
- Calculating resource allocation system and FACS banding
- Indentifying outcomes
- Completing a support plan
- Reviews and the IB process
Commentary:
This course usual runs over 3 days, with a 1 day introduction to the IB and personalisation agenda, followed by 2 day of working through the process with examples, completing an AQ, support plan and looking at other issues that apply.
