Anaphylaxis Management
Aims:
To train candidates in the safe management and treatment of clients with Anaphylaxis.
Objectives:
- Demonstrate protocols for responding to Anaphylaxis
- Safe administration of medication
- Safe demonstration of CPR
Target Audience:
This course will benefit both clinical and non clinical staff. It will give the candidates the confidence and knowledge to deal with Anaphylaxis emergencies thus providing an immediate and vital early response, sometimes referred to as the chain of survival.
Course Content:
- What is Anaphylaxis
- Current treatments
- Safe use of Epi – pens
- Casualty management in emergencies
- Air way management and Anaphylaxis
- Current CPR protocols
- Evaluations Certification and endings
Commentary:
The course is highly practical and requires a great deal of student /Teacher interaction. All students are required to undertake a mandatory assessment in order to gain certification.
