Dealing with Psychosis

Aims:

To learn about the nature of psychosis.

Target Audience:

This course will benefit anyone who may have to deal with, or support sufferers from psychosis. In addition it will develop participants awareness of mental health issues related to the condition.

Commentary:

The course examines the condition of psychosis. It enables participants to understand particular key features, including insight and delusional thinking. The use of case studies enables participants to discuss current issues that are relevant. As well as examining the correct communication methods to use when supporting/responding to someone in a psychotic state.
