Intro to Learning Disabilities
Aims:
To explore issues surrounding Learning disabilities, and explore participants understanding.
Objectives:
- Develop an understanding of the range of conditions involved in
- learning disabilities
- Explore classification of learning disabilities
- Discuss issues raised by the participants
Target Audience:
This course is targeted for those with little experience or who are wishing to develop their expertise in understanding Learning disabilities. Particularly suited for those who have limited experience, this course provides and encourages participants to raise any questions or issues they may have.

- Types of conditions
- Understanding classification
- Concerns of the participant
- Medication
- Sectioning under the 1983 Mental health Act
- How to support sufferers

The course is designed to enable the wider topic of Learning disabilities; it enables participants to explore issues around Learning disabilities. The course enables participants to develop their understanding and become accustomed to associated terminology.
