  • Completing appeals reports
  • Patients rights
  • Section 17 leave
  • Community treatment Orders
  • Role of second opinion
  • Emergency treatments

Commentary:

The course is designed as a development / refresher training for those professionals who have to work within the 1983 Mental Health Act. It covers the use of all major statutory forms for section’s 2, 3, 4, receipt of section papers, section 17 leave, second opinion requirements and emergency treatment. In addition the role of patients rights, appeals and tribunal reports are covered.
