To develop managers and supervisors skills to manage a dementia service.

Target Audience:

This is a level 3 course designed to support managers and supervisors within a dementia service.

Commentary:

The course provides a update for existing managers and supervisors on the current dementia approaches. It includes how to support staff who may be modeling inappropriate responses, and provide insight into the CQC inspection process. In addition it will include an update upon interaction skills including reality orientation, validation and the importance of personhood in improving the quality of life of clients.
